Massive Probleme mit allem!

Hallo,

im Moment bin ich mit meinem bischen Latein am Ende. Ich habe keinen Ton und kein Netzwerk mehr- also auch kein DSL. Schreibe jetzt von Windoof aus.

In X komm ich noch rein, aber das ausführen von SaX2 verursacht einen absturz erster Güte.

Ich weiss, dass ich um CS hinzubringen, in meiner Modules.conf am Sound gespielt habe. Ich habe meine /tmp Dateien gelöscht und auf KDE 3.01 geupdatet, was schon einige Probleme machte weil ich das Onlineupdate per XKILL abschoss (musste). Das ging.

Warum mit einem mal nix mehr ging ist unklar, das letzte mal wo alles ging, war bevor ich neustartete und aus versehen Sitzung speichern aktivierte. Dann hatte ich keinen Platz mehr auf der Platte beim Hochfahren, was ich durch eine Löschaktion im Textmodus löste.

Seit dem hab ich keinen Sound mehr. Ich kireg zu anderer Stelle noch die Meldung das er den Soundslot 0 nicht findet. In der HardwareInfo von Yast2 steht der aber auf slot 2. (Hat das was miteinander zu tun?

Dann wollte ich das Mausrad hinbiegen. Ich hab was in die /etc/X11/xf86config geschrieben, aber das hat nix zu sagen- ist ein Standarteintrag. Irgendwas mit dem Wheel.

Also als erstes würde ich vorschlagen gehst du in dein inneres und nachdenkst was du in der modules.conf editiert hast. Wie du warscheinlich schon bemerkt hast kann er kein einziges modul laden, was eine Art kettenreaktion auslöst (zb. ohne eth0 verreist er das ganze network).

Vielleicht bringt es was wenn du die confgi hier mal postest und deine änderungen näher beschreibst.

Dann würde es auch etwas bringen wenn du die Möglichkeit hast von deinem /home verzeichnis ein backup zu machen (würde ich vor solchen kamikaze aktionen immer machen ).

Dann hätte ich noch eine frage: was ist dieser CDWserver? (nur so aus interesse)

Ausserdem könntest du auch versuchen mal im RunLevel 3 hochzufahren, vielleicht wird die liste da ein bisschen übersichtlicher.

Ich hab meine alte Modules.conf gefunden und mit der Modifizierten ersetzt. NIX! Absolut nix ist anders. Die Modules.conf Poste ich bald mal.
Was hast du denn für ein Problem? Wie fahre ich im Runlevel 3 hoch?

Booten in den runlevel 3:
Wenn du einen grafischen LiLo (bzw. GROUP od. wie das Ding bei Mandrake/RedHat heißt) hast, dann drück erstmal Esc. Danach hast ein Text-Interface in dem du einfach eingibst mit welchen Kernel du booten willst, und danach (mit Space getrennt), den runlevel.
So zB:
lilo: linux inti 3

Wobei ich mir nicht sicher bin, ob man 'init' schreiben braucht, jedenfalls regt sich lilo bei mir drüber nicht auf.

Hast du zufaellig versucht nen Kernel zu kompilieren/ Einen anderen zu installieren?

Du koenntest auch mal hierhin gehen '/lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/' und dich mal umgucken. ist dir vielleicht der Kompi abgewrackt und hat gleich die Module kaputtgemacht?
