    Angry openSUSE friert ein

    Hallo.

    Also, mein Problem besteht darin, dass mein openSUSE 11.1 (KDE 4.1) immer ca. 30 Sekunden bis maximal eine Minute nach dem einloggen einfriert. Es reagiert auf absolut keine Tastatur- Maus- oder sonstige Eingaben mehr, eventuell laufende Sounds (zB von Amarok) stoppen, ein wechseln zur Konsole oder ein Neustart von X sind auch nicht möglich, ebensowenig wie "normales" herunterfahren. Das einzige was hilft: brutal den Powerknopf gedrückt lassen. Das Problem tritt unter der Konsole (direkt im Login auf die Konsole gewechselt) nicht auf, daher denke ich an ein Problem mit X.
    Hardware: Intel Pentium4 Singlecore 3Ghz, NVidia 7950GT, 1GB Ram, Creative Soundblaster PCI.
    Bereits versucht: KDE3 nutzen (selbe Effekt, friert erst später ein), Treiber in der xorg.conf von "nvidia" auf "nv" ändern, System repair von der DVD laufen lassen. Alles erfolglos.

    Hoffe hier kann mir jemand helfen, das ganze nervt ziemlich

    Welchen Grafiktreiber hast Du installiert?
    Zu empfehlen ist für nvidia die proprietären Treiber einzuspielen:

    Den aktuellen offiziellen, proprietären NVidia Treiber, eingespielt über YaST Update nach der Anleitung auf die du bereits verlinkt hast.
    Das Problem trat quasi aus dem nichts auf. Alles lief wie gewohnt, ich war grad in Netbeans als der Rechner einfror. Erst versucht auf die Konsole zu kommen oder sonstwie runterzufahren, ging nicht. Also knallhart ausgemacht, wieder hochgefahren und seid dem hab ichs.

    Mal ne ganz blöde Idee: gib mal "ps aux" ein und poste es - ich glaub, dass ein Programm durch die Sitzungen hinweg aktiv bleibt und deinen PC einfriert.
