    Mit Mandriva 2008.0/Ubuntu 8.04 über WLAN ins Internet

    Hallo, ich habe ein Medion MD 8383 XL. Wie komme ich nun unter Mandriva 2008.0(ubuntu, da ich das bald installieren werde) über den Router ins Internet?

    Mit Infos geht das. Wichtig ist der Chipsatz vom WLAN Adapter. So kann man nichts sagen.

    Schau mal mit den Befehlen lspci, lsusb, dmesg, ifconfig, iwconfig nach verwertbaren Infos und poste diese hier.

    Ich weiß zwar nicht, ob da alles ausgeworfen wird, weil das skript eigentlich für Suse ist, aber probieren kann man ja mal.

    Geht nicht weil das programm ifconfig fehlt, aber in rpmdrake gibts das nicht....

    ifconfig ist so grundlegend, das dürfte eigentlich nicht fehlen. Das ist vermutlich nur in einem anderen Pfad. Das skript hat absolute Pfade drin.

    naja jetzt läuft es(das WLAN) einwandfrei. Es lag an der Verschlüsselung, meine alte KArte kannte noch kein WPA. Trotzdem danke für die helfenden Hände!

    Anmerkung: Es wird im PATH von root nach den Programmen gesucht und dann der absolute Pfad im Aufruf benutzt. Es ist allerdings schon merkwürdig, dass ifconfig nicht im PATH von root steht ...

    ifconfig (/sbin/ifconfig) befindet sich bei Mandriva im Paket 'net-tools', wird standardmäßig installiert und lässt sich auch nicht deinstallieren.

    Becha hat es wahrscheinlich nicht als root probiert oder sich verschrieben ... alles andere kann ich mir nicht vorstellen.
