Kein Zugriff auf externe Festplatte

Hallo alle mitsamt!

Ich habe mir gestern eine externe USB Festplatte mit 500GB zugelegt zum sichern meiner Daten (insgesamt ca 350GB an Dateien)

Ich habe die Platte an mein System angeschlossen und mit Yast auf ext3 formatiert!

Danach habe ich die Platte einfach über den Konqueror geöffnet und wollte mit dem kopieren der Daten beginnen! nach ca. 10 Minuten (ich war nicht im Zimmer) habe ich mal nachgesehen wie weit der Kopiervorgang ist - leider wurde mir die Fehlermeldung angezeigt: "Datei XyZ.xyz konnte nicht erstellt werden" ich hatte keinen Zugriff mehr auf die Festplatte - ich konnte auch keine Ordner oder Dateien mehr erstellen da ich keinen Zugriff auf die Festplatte habe!

Ich habe danach die Festplatte mit dem Partitionierungsprogramm aus Yast überprüft und dabei kommischerweise festgestellt das auf einmal 4 Partitionen vorhanden waren davon eine mit 465,7 GB und dann noch 3 Partitionen mit je 256GB!

Ich habe die Festplatte unter windows ebenfalls probiert und da funktioniert alles normal!

Kann mit jemand von euch weiterhelfen?

So nicht - da brauchen wir schon ein paar Infos mehr...

-> dmesg, tail -f /var/log/messages, ... beim Anstecken der Platte, fdisk -l, Rechte des Mountpoints, /etc/fstab bzw. kompletten mount-Befehl, ...

Kann ich euch leider nicht denn jedes mal wenn ich die Platte neu formatieren will (ich lösche vorher die Partitionstabelle und die Festplattenkennung)

kommt folgende Fehlermeldung: Bei folgender Aktion ist ein Fehler aufgetreten Partition /dev/sdf1 wird erstellt Systemfehlercode: - 1007

Öhm, sämtlichen Befehlen ist das völlig egal. Führe sie bitte als root in der Konsole aus und poste die Ausgaben...

Ich nehme an, die problemlatische Platte ist /dev/sdk?
ok, jetzt würde ich einfach mal mit fdisk oder parted _an der Konsole_ die darauf enthaltenenen Partitionen löschen und eine neu anlegen. Dann mal rebooten und schauen was passiert...
