    Debian Bildschirmaüflösung NVIDIA GeForce2 mit 1680 x 1050

    Ich habe mir heute Debian 4.0 installiert und bekomme einfach meine gewünschte Aüflösung nicht hin. Mit Ubuntu 7.04 klappt es.

    Hast Du es schonmal mit dem Treiber von nvidia.org versucht?

    So wie es aussieht ist schon der neuste Treiber installiert. Nur verstehe ich nicht, wieso es mit Ubuntu funzt.

    Nun, werde ich mal Ubuntu als live cd verwenden. Mal sehn ob die einen anderen Treiber verwenden.

    Wirklich der von nvidia.com? Zumindest verwendest Du ihn nicht:

    Genau. Du startest Dein X mit dem nv-Treiber, nicht mit nvidia. Ich könnte mir vorstellen, daß der nv-Treiber diese Auflösung und Refreshrate nicht unterstützt und daher die größtmögliche verwendet.

    So nun funktioniert es. Ihr alle hatte recht mit "nv' und 'nvidia'. Aber letztlich lag es am Ausgang der Grafikkarte ( hätte auch so drauf kommen können). Ich habe den den normalen VGA Ausgang benutzt und nicht den DVI. Nachdem ich umgestöpselt habe funktioniert es.
