    Nvidia: Nach Wechsel von nv zu nvidia Modul: schwarzer Bildschirm

    Guten Abend.
    Direkt mal die Beschreibung meines Problems:
    Ich habe den nvidia Treiber installiert (1.0-8776), Module geladen - alles soweit kein Problem.
    In der /etc/X11/xorg.conf die enstprechende Zeile
    Code:

    geändert. Jetzt bekomme ich nach startx einen schwarzen Bildschirm, komme jedoch mit str+alt+backspace ohne weiteres in die Konsole zurück. Ich dachte mir zuerst das evtl Hsync und Vsync nicht korrekt, also X mit nv Treiber gestartet (ohne Probleme) und die Raten vom Hersteller eingetragen. Danach versuchte ich X wieder mit nvidia Treiber zu starten - ohne Erfolg.
    So sieht meine /var/log/Xorg.0.conf nach einem Start von X mit nvidia Modul aus:

    Demnach startet X ohne Probleme, allerdings alles was ich sehe ist ein schwarzer Bildschirm.

    Nachdem ich noch etwas gegoogelt habe änderte ich fälschlicherweise eine Modeline für 1280x1024. Diese wurde beim Start von X natürlich ignoriert und die nächste für 1024x768 ausgewählt. Was geschah? X startete mit nvidia Treiber , allerdings nur mit 1024x768.

    Bis auf den Modelinefehler habe ich keinen Unterschied gefunden, was meinen Verdacht mit den falschen Refreshraten nochmal aufflammen lies. Ich habe alle möglichen Raten ausprobiert, allerdings bringt mich keine weiter.

    Problem tritt sowohl bei Gentoo als auch bei Arch und Ubuntu auf.

    Ich habe wirklich schon sehr viele Stunden nach der Lösung gesucht und bin etwas ratlos im Moment. Ich wäre wirklich für jede Hilfe dankbar.
    Zudem habe ich leider den Überblick über das verloren was ich in der letzten Woche alles versucht habe, deshalb seid mir nicht böse wenn ich diesbezüglich keine genauen Angaben machen kann. Im Moment habe ich, wie erwähnt, den Verdacht, dass die Refreshraten nicht stimmen, jedoch ist mir in dem Fall unerklärlich warum ich mit dem nv Treiber X starten kann.

    Moin,
    erstmal danke für Deine Antwort, leider funktioniert es auch nicht mit dem Beta Treiber. Xorg.0.log sagt immer noch das selbe. Sonst vielleicht irgendwer eine Idee?

    Habe ich im Zuge von gonzo_17's Vorschlag gemacht, bringt leider auch nur einen schwarzen Bildschirm und keine Fehler in den Logs... aber danke für die Vorschläge, gebt mir mehr!
    Habe vorhin gelesen das jemand eine ähnliche Problematik mit einem Biosupdate gelöst hat. Denkt ihr das könnte helfen? Ich würde ganz gerne darauf verzichten nach Möglichkeit, aber wenn es keine andere Lösung gibt, wäre ich evtl auch dazu bereit.

    hi. gib mal bitte die Ausgaben von:

    cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/status
    cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/host-bridge

    Vorher musst du natürlich das nvidia modul per modprobe laden.

    da beim AGP Treiber NVIDIA steht nehme ich an das du den NVAgp Treiber benutzt. Nimm noch mal den AGPGART Treiber aus dem Kernel für deinen Chipsatz und teste es damit.

    Werde ich probieren wobei sich mir die Frage stellt warum der nvidia treiber nur mit einer 1280x1024 Auflösung nicht funktioniert. Ansonsten geht es ja... aber ich melde mich wenn ich das probiert habe.
