Genug Platz, trotzdem Meldung: "Am Ziel ist nicht genug Platz."

Hallo
Ich denke, die Frage wurde schon gestellt, ich habe aber nichts gefunden, also vegebt mir

Ich wollte mir zum Test an einem anderen Computer eine lokale Paketquelle erstellen und wollte dafür meine 416 MB Pakete auf meinen MP3-Player mit 512 MB (bzw. 495 MB) Speicherplatz kopieren. bei ca. 160 kopierten MB bekomme ich obige Meldung. Wenn ich in den Eigenschaften gucke, sind noch 335 MB frei. Reserviert Linux den Speicherplatz irgendwie und wie kann ich das abstellen?
Ich nutze Ubuntu Dapper Drake

Das selbe Problem habe ich bei meinem VPA Compact von Vodafone und meiner 2GB-SD Karte. Da werden auch lediglich 1GB erkannt. Hast du denn einen MP3-Player mit integriertem Speicher oder auch über SD-Karte?

Welches Filesystem ist denn auf dem Player? Was sagt "fdisk -l", was "du -c /Dein/Player" und was "ls -la /Dein/Player"?

Habe kein Ubuntu, wahrscheinlich findest Du /Dein/Player unter /media oder /mnt...

Das komische ist ja, dass der Speicherplatz erkannt wird, aber nicht genutzt wird. Linux sagt mir, ich hätte 495 MB, 160 belegt, aber ich kann keine einzige Datei mehr draufpacken.

Die Info, welches Filesystem auf dem Stick ist steht noch aus. Bei der Gelegenheit poste bitte auch die Ausgabe von "df -i /dev/sdf1"

Und wie/womit hast Du den Stick formatiert? Wenn Du viele kleine Dateien auf den Stick bringen willst, könnte sich empfehlen, die Clustergröße zu verringern. Siehe man mke2fs. Vorher kannst Du mke2fs auch mal mit dem Parameter -n aufrufen (nicht vertippen!), dann zeigt er an, wie er das FS anlegen würde.

Das Filesystem ist FAT32. Da wollte ich auch nichts dran ändern, ich will ja weiterhin Musik hören können. Wenn ich Musik drauf packe, kann ich das Ding auch so weit voll hauen, bis eine Datei größer ist, als der freie Speicherplatz, also wie gewohnt.
