Bildwiederholfrequenz bei Fedora Core 5 bzw. Gnome einstellen

Wie kann ich unter Fedora Core 5 die Bildwiederholfrequenz festlegen. Ist zwar zurzeit schon auf 85 Hz, der Monitor kann aber 100 Hz.

habe jetzt die xorg.conf verändert. bleibt aber immer noch bei 85 hz.

Du mußt deine Modeline unter "Screen" mit 'reinpacken, dort, wo "Modes" steht. Dann lautet deine Zeile z.B.:

hmm, ist das Bild bei 100 Hz denn auch wirklich besser? Oftmals ist nämlich eher das Gegenteil der Fall, da sich der Monitor sozusagen "mehr anstrengen" muß.

bei 1 bleibt es bei 85 hz.
bei 2 geht x überhaupt nicht mehr
