    Question WinXp findet Samba nicht

    Hallo zusammen,

    hatte eine SAMBAServer aufgesetzt und mir beim Rumspielen die smb.conf zerschossen.
    Also SAMBA deinstalliert und wieder neu aufgesetzt und durch Webmin folgendermassen konfiguriert:

    Jetzt kann ich aber auf meinem Client (WIN XP Pro) den Server im Explorer unter "Netzlaufwerk verbinden" nicht mehr sehen.

    Washabe ichfalsch gemacht ??

    Kann mir jemand helfen? Die SuFu hat mich auch nicht weitergebracht.

    Hallo.
    Ich habe mal in unserer Sambakonfiguration nachgeschaut.
    Vielleicht hilft es dir, wenn du in den Freigaben noch
    "browseable = yes" hinzufügst.

    Zugriff mit IP Adresse auf Samba Server

    Genau da in der Samba Config hab ich auch drin rumgefummelt. Endresultat: Neuinstallation.
    Hast du schon mal die IP Adresse des Linux-Servers suchen lassen? Damit müsstest du wieder Zugriff von XP-Client auf Samba-Server haben.

    Welche Distribution, welche Samba-Version?

    Schmerzhafte Erfahrung, aber beim nächsten Mal machst Du sicher eine Kopie VOR dem Rumspielen

    Hallo zusammen,

    kann leider erst jetzt antworten:
    Hatte den Samba gestartet und auch den nmb schon gestartet und nachdem ich ne Zeitlang gewartet hatte, konnte ich ihn auch wieder sehen.

    Jetzt habe ich beim Reboot mir mal das Protokoll vom Start angeschaut und da steht was drin , dass mir als Newbie Sorgen macht:

    Das sieht ein bisschen danach aus als würde er beim Hochfahren Probleme haben, meine WLAN- Netzwerkarte zu aktivieren.
    Wenn ich dann aber einmal im YAST die Netzwerkarten-Settings nur durchklicke ( und nichts verändere) , scheint er irgnedwelche Dienste neu zu starten und dann klappt auch mail, Inet, etc..

    1.) Habe ich das Richtige aus dem Boot-Protokoll gelesen

    2.) Wenn ja, welche Dienste starte er denn da neu

    3) Wie kann ich diese Dienste sicher mit starten lassen beim oder kurz nach dem Booten ??

    Ist Suse 9.2 Professional
