    Logitech QuickCam Express > FATAL: Error inserting quickcam

    Hallo mal wieder
    und wieder habe ich ein Problem, welches ich einfach nicht gebacken bekomme und wozu ich sowohl hier im Forum (Fragen ja, Antworten nein), als auch bei Google keine Lösung gefunden habe. Und zwar habe ich ne Logitech Quickcam Express USB gefunden und wollte die jetzt unter Linux betreiben, gleich vorweg, ich habe eine x86_64 System. Also mal schnell eingesteckt und geschaut ob sie soweit erkannt wird

    Hmm, jetzt weiß ich damit leider nix anzufangen, den unter Windows funktioniert die Kamera. Warum wird hier nix erkannt??? Okay, man könnte meinen das ich irgendwas im Kernel vergessen habe, deshalb hier jetzt mal meine Kernel-Config (ja, ist lang, aber dann müsstet ihr doch alle Infos haben)

    erstmal danke,
    das scheint zu klappen, zumindest die module werden automatisch geladen. jetzt weiß ich nur nicht weiter ... also ich habe versucht mit "totem /dev/video0" das ganze irgendwie zu sehen, aber totem sagt er könne mit dem file-type nicht umgehen ... hmmm, und auch nur "video" braucht nix ... jetzt frage ich mich welche software es noch gibt (kein kde) mit der ich einfach nur die laufende aufnahme auf den bildschirm bekomme?

    Evtl auch mal die Rechte von Device anschauen, kannst du es öffnen?

    Ansonsten kann man auch mal z.B. mit mplayer probieren

    Mit totem kenne ich mich nicht aus, vielleicht muss man da auch per Parameter angeben, dass es sich um ein Video4Linux (v4l) Device handelt. Ein Blick in die man-Page hilft hier vielleicht weiter.
