    Question Instabiles System

    Hallo in die Linux Runde,


    ich habe folgendes Problem mit meinem Notebook(Medion MD41300) OS Suse 9.3. Das System ist sehr unstabiel, es reich nur drei Fenster zu offnen, schon bleibt alles hängen, es hilft nichts auser einem Neustart. Die Hardware schein voll funktionsfähig zu sein.

    Weiß vielleicht, jemand woran es liegen könnte bzw. wie man es beseitigt?

    Ohne Logeinträge kann man kaum etwas dazu sagen, außer vielleicht "die Hardware scheint NICHT voll funktionsfähig zu sein".

    • je nachdem: ~/.xsession-errors (falls es "nur" den "graphischen Teil" betrifft, trotzdem noch arbeiten könnte, auf den virtuellen Konsolen, o.ä.

    Praktisch alles unter /var/log/

    und gib mal "dmesg | less" ein und lies alles aufmerksam.

    Mach mal folgendes:

    Mach ein Konsolenfenster auf und Tipp ein:

    su
    <passwort>
    tail -f /var/log/messages

    So, dann öffnest du 2 weitere Fenster und beobachtest was auf der Konsole so kommt.

    Hi,

    ich benutze ebenfalls das Medion Notebook 41300 mit einem Pentium 4 Prozessor der Hyper Threading unterstützt.
    Und genau darin könnte dein Problem liegen da bei der Installation ein spezieller Kernel bei mir ist es "Linux 2.6.13-15-smp" installiert wurde. Dadurch kommt es des Öfteren zu Abstürzen und kann nur dadurch behoben werden indem du den smp - Kernel löschst und ihn durch den default Kernel ersetzt. Wie das genau geht muss ich selbst nochmal nachlesen aber ein Versuch wäre es Wert, oder?

    Du findest übrigens mit dem Befehl "uname -a" in der Konsole deinen Kerneltyp heraus.

    Falls sich jemand gut damit auskennt kann er das hier vielleicht ja noch etwas genauer beschreiben.

    Default Kernel funktioniert gut

    Hallo nochmal,

    also ich hab nun den "smp" Kernel durch den dafault Kernel ausgetauscht und seit dem ist mir der Pc kein einziges Mal abgestürzt. Also falls du immer noch Probs damit haben solltest dann empfehle ich dir das Selbe auch zu machen und dann kannst du dich auch über ein stabiles System freuen.
