    USB Kartenleser/Hub: usb-storage Devicescan Problem

    Moin,
    ich habe mir einen 8 in 1 Kartenleser (vier Slots) mit zwei zusätzlichen USB-Anschlüssen und 5,25"-Frontblende eingebaut. Das Teil wird über einen der normalen hinteren USB-Ports angeschlossen.

    Das Teil und eingesteckte Medien werden auch erkannt, im Logauszug z.B. eine 16 MB SD-Card unter /dev/sde und ein 512 MB USB-Stick unter /dev/sda. Das Problem ist, daß das Modul usb-storage zuerst im Sekundentakt mit hoher Systemlast, nach einiger Zeit dann im Minutentakt alles wieder disconnected und neu scannt. Bei jedem Scan werden auch die Devices unter /dev wieder gelöscht und neu erstellt.

    Das gleiche Verhalten habe ich unter Gentoo mit Kernel 2.6.11 und SuSE 9.2. Wie lässt sich das abstellen? Muss so ein Scan überhaupt regelmäßig laufen? Sollten neu eingesteckte Medien nicht ganz normal über den Hotplug-Mechanismus erkannt werden?

    Hmm,
    komisch. Ich hatte alles noch einmal auseinander und wieder zusammengebaut, und jetzt funktioniert es. War vielleicht nur ein Wackelkontakt in der Verkabelung.
