    Question Suse 8.0 vs. USB Stick: "Device not ready"

    Hallo Community,

    ich bin neu in diesem Forum und möchte euch erstmal alle Begrüßen !

    Ich starte auch gleich mal mit einem Problem welches ich mit der SuFu nicht lösen konnte.
    Mein USB-Stick funktioniert unter Suse 8.0 nicht - unter Windows schon.
    Zur genauen Problembeschreibung:

    Wenn ich das Ding einstecke und USBView aufrufe, wird der Stick erkannt und die Daten werden angezeigt:

    Mounten kann ich ihn aber nicht - genauso wenig taucht er in der fstab auf.

    Ich habe schon folgendes versucht:
    - das Modul usb-storage mittels modeprobe zu laden.
    -

    in fstab hizugefügt
    - mount /media/sda1
    Das ERgebnis ist:

    FDisk bringt auch nix, weil es nicht auf das LAufwerk zugreifen kann - es ist einfach nicht da!

    Mit "dmesg" habe ich beobachtet was passiert wenn ich den Stick einstecke- nämlich folgendes:

    Der tut grade so als wäre da keine Datenträger drin - hahaha!(Hab da schon öfter mal was gelesen) Aber mit fdisk kann ich ja nicht drauf zugreifen weil ja kein "Datenträger drin ist"


    Wäre Super wenn ihr mir helfen könnt.

    schon mal auf sdb versucht? suse 9.2 mountet usb sticks beim mir auf "b"?

    Außerdem würde ich mal updaten auf 9.2 - glaube da hat sich doch viel getan!

    Hi,

    schon mal fdisk auf /dev/sda angewandt? Dein System findet keine Partitionstabelle. Mal neu partionieren, dann formatiern und hoffen es geht dann.

    Hallo, benutze das Kernelmodul uhci (anstelle des aktuellen usb-uhci).
    Das ist der alternative UHCI-Treiber des Kernels 2.4.
