    debian sarge + ati 3.9.0 + kernel 2.6.7

    Hi,

    ich versuch gerade den ati treiber zuinstalliern.

    er bleicht immer bei make.sh hängen

    Nun hab ich in verschiedenen foren und bei google gelesen dass man dazu nun einen patch braucht also hab ich mir ca. 10 patches runtergeladen aber keiner funktioniert.

    Kann hier jemand mal einen patch posten wo funktioniert ?

    Genau das gleiche Problem habe ich auch..

    Allerdings mit debian sid (XFree 4.3.0) , aber auch mit kernel 2.6.7.
    Hab eben mal ein bischen gegooglet, aber nur Patches für den 3.7.6 Treiber gefunden..
    Ich hab so das Gefühl, dass wir uns mit den Patches für diese Treiberversion bzw für diesen Bug noch ein wenig gedulden müssen...

    Geht es anderen debian (evtl auch mit anderen XFree Versionen?) auch so??

    nach meiner recherche liegt es an einer änderung am kernel_modul was die count funktion verändert hat soll übrigens ab 2.6.6 kernel auftreten

    hab mir zum testen mal 3.7.2 drauf gemacht trifft aber genau der gleiche fehler beim patchen auf

    und nicht, wie der erste beitrag in dem thread auffordert, in den files .c files herumspielen! so wie ich das verstanden habe, sollte die count funktion nicht in treibern verwendet werden, deshalb haben die kernel-leute die funktion umbenannt, was ab kernel 2.6.6. dazu führte, dass das kernel modul net gebaut werden konnte.

    hab ich auch gefunden nur hat der patch bei mir nicht funktioniert wie oben beschrieben mit dem fc2 ging es.

    naja nun vielliecht noch ein paar trivale sachen von mir ich hab jetzt 1000 beiträge gelesen warum 3d nicht tut und findet dauern unterschiedliche sachen wo gesagt wie der kernel kompiliert werden soll. Des halb wäre es hilfreich wenn ihr mir kurz folgenden sachen postet könnt:

    dri modus y/n/m ?
    radeon /y/n/m ?
    agpgart y/n/m ?
    via_agp y/n/m ?

    Ich denke mal, aus meinem Posting geht hervor, daß ich beide Patche eingespielt habe.
    Die gefragten Optionen habe ich alle als Modul kompiliert.
    agpgart nutze ich den internen des fglrx.
    3D Beschleunigung funktioniert (FC2 mit x.org).

    also so hab ichs auch im kernel kann also auch nicht dran liegen. komisch finde ich aber das lsmod mir anzeigt das via_agp nicht benutzt wird. auch das fglrx module ist unsed. Kann mir mal jemand mit funktionierndem 3d modus seine XF86Config posten werde sobald ich daheim noch die ausgabe von /var/log/messages und die xflog posten.

    Was ich noch komisch finde machmal beim laden kommt einen meldung das 480mb ram reserviert für dga oder sowas sind
