Hallo,
ich schaff's einfach nicht dma zu aktivieren!
Wenn ich nicht nach vielen Mühen das Modem zum Laufen bekommen hätte, würde ich sofort was anderes installieren.
Mit Knoppix 3.2 oder Slackware live CD klappt dma ohne Probleme
Vieleicht sagen die Bootmeldungen etwas - Mandrake 9.1:

Warum benutzt Mandrake den IDE controller nicht?
Ich würde mich freuen, wenn mir jemand helfen könnte das Problem zu lösen
