WinTV - Karte

Hallo... Wer kann mir helfen?
Habe eine PCI WinTV-Karte von Hauppauge.
Wie Installiere ich sie?
möglichst nur über KDE, da ich hier mich am besten zurechtfinde.
Ich bräuchte möglichst genaue angaben da alle meine Versuche bis jetzt keinen Erfolg hatten und ich mit Linux nur wenig
erfahrungen habe.
Im Kernel habe ich bereits "Video for Linux" integriert und auch den Chipsatz "BT848 for Linux" aktiviert

Hallo Zig !

Eigendlich ist mit den Kernelmodulen 'Video for Linux' und 'BT848' die Installation bereits erledigt ! Jetzt solltest du eine TV-Applikation starten und die Sender einstellen können. (Wenn du kde-fan bist, wirst du wohl KWinTv benutzen. Schau dir bei Problemen einfach mal den vorherigen Beitrag an.)

Wenn's so nicht klappt, schreib wieder mit genauer Fehlerbeschreibung (Fehlermeldungen!) !

Okey gehen wir mal davon aus der Kernel ist richtig.
So nun starte ich das Kwintv-PRG und... es passiert nichts
keine Fhelermeldung kein garnichts.
Die Festplatte läuft kurtz an, die Icon-leiste mit den laufenden PRGs(rechts unten bei KDE) vergrößert sich kurtz und dann
ist alles wie vorher...
AAAAARRRRRGG!

Wie startest du KWinTv ?! Doch nicht etwa aus dem KDE-Startmenü heraus, sondern bitte aus einem Terminalfenster ! Und da solltest du dann auch ein paar Meldungen finden (selbst wenn alles funktioniert, was ja offensichtlich nicht der Fall ist). Also was meldet das Programm ?

Nach dem aufrufen von
" /opt/kde/bin/kwintv "
Bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung:

äh...ja und nun ... wie gesagt Anfänger...?!

Da bin ich wieder !

Wenn du mal in der vorangegangenen Frage gestöbert hast, sollte dich die erste Zeile nicht mehr erschrecken: default.ch ist diejenige Datei, in der KWinTv die Sender mit zugehörigen Kanälen speichert. Wenn KWinTv zum ersten mal richtig startet, wird es nach Sendern scannen und diese Datei erstellen !
Die folgenden zwei Meldungen sind das Problem ! Offensichtlich sind sich das 'VideoForLinux'-Interface und dein X-Server nicht einig, was die Speicheradresse deiner Grafikkarte betrifft (0x0 oder 0xe6000000 ?).
Die letzte Zeile ist eine von der ganz netten Sorte http://www.linuxforen.de/ubb/smile.gif : sie schlägt dir eine Lösung vor !
Ein Ratespielchen : Video4Linux und dein X-Windows sind sich nicht einig, X funktioniert aber, wer hat recht http://www.linuxforen.de/ubb/wink.gif ?!
Genau das denkt sich auch die letzte Zeile und schlägt dir vor, dem bt848-Treiber( deine TvKarte) die Adresse die der x-Server benutzt, mitzuteilen. Und das funktioniert so :
<ol> Tippe "<tt>lsmod</tt>", in der Liste darf bttv nicht vorkommen ! (wenn doch tippe "<tt>rmmod bttv</tt>" (Modul entfernen) und wieder "<tt>lsmod</tt>" zum überprüfen)</li>
Tippe "<tt>modprobe bttv vidmem=0xe60</tt>" ein und starte KWinTv.</li>[/list=a]
Wenn dein X-Server tatsächlich recht hatte, funktionierts jetzt !

Habe vorhin nochmal unter Windoof(ja ihr dürft mich hauen) nachgeschaut.
Dort ist die wintv-karte auf irp:09
und die Speicheradresse:
E7000000 - E7000FFF
das ist doch merkwürdig oder?
Müßte das nicht 0xe60 sein?
oder hab ich da was falsch verstanden?

Nun gut,
Kwintv läuft schonmal.
erste Hürde genommen.
doch findet es keinen Sender.
Eingestellt ist volgendes:
Input Sources : Television
Input Norm : PAL
Country : pal-europe

Gespeist wird die karte von einem Sat-Reciver
habe aber nur rauschen.
ist die karte vielleicht doch an einem anderen ort?

Hallo Zig !

Das "Ich finde keine Sender"-Problem ist relativ einfach zu lösen :
Um den Tuner auf deiner TvKarte einzustellen benötigt KWinTv außer dem bttv-Modul auch noch ein Modul namens tuner, welches aber nicht automatisch geladen wird ! Ein <tt>"modprobe tuner"</tt> nach dem Laden des bttv-Moduls sollte helfen.

Du kannst das ganze aber automatisieren !
<ol> Suche in der Datei /etc/conf.modules die Zeile <tt>alias char-major-81 bttv</tt>. Wenn sie nicht vorhanden oder auskommentiert ist (mit '#' am Anfang), einfügen b.z.w. einkommentieren ('#' entfernen). (Diese Zeile verrät dem Kerneldämon, dass das Modul bttv für deine Tv-Karte zuständig ist und automatisch geladen wird)</li>
Unter dieser Zeile musst du folgende Zeile einfügen / anpassen : <tt>options bttv vidmem=0xe60</tt>
(Diese Zeile definiert die Parameter beim automatischen Laden)</li>
Wiederum darunter ergänzt du : <tt>post-install bttv modprobe tuner</tt>
(Diese Zeile sorgt dafür, dass im Anschluss das tuner-Modul nachgeladen wird)</li><ol>

Halb so wild, du verwechselst den Speicherbereich deiner TvKarte (du hast geschrieben E7000000 - E7000FFF) mit dem framebuffer der Grafikkarte (framebuffer => "Grafikspeicher", also 0xe60) !

Schau dir mal den Speicherbereich deiner Grafikkarte an !

zip, sicher dass Du den sat-receiver nicht über den composite mit der tv-karte verbindest? dann solltest Du nämlich als input-source auch den composite nutzen...
wenn Du den receiver tatsächlich als tuner gepluggt hast, solltest Du lieber den composite nutzen, das signal musst Du erstens nicht suchen, und zweitens ist die qualität besser...

Tosk hat recht, was den Composite-Eingang betrifft !
Ansonsten solltest du herausfinden, auf welchem Kanal dein Receiver das Singnal senden (Handbuch oder Einstellungen), und diesen von Hand in KWinTv einstellen. So erfährst du, ob nur KWinTv den Kanal nicht finden kann, oder deine Konfiguration fehlerhaft sein sollte.

so nun muß ich es nurnoch hinkrigen wie ich das ganze so einstelle das ich auch als NormalUser und nicht nur als Root Filme sehen kann. ein Tip?
