Hi!
Ich hab ne SuSe 8.2 mit allem drum und dran! Nvidia, TV-karte, ....
Jetzt hab ich das Problem, dass mir das Ding andauen mittem im Bertieb einfriert!!
Ich kann die Maus bewegen und auch an der Tastatur das NumPad ein und ausschalten. Kann aber nixmehr machen. Hilf nur noch ein druck auf den Resetknopf!!
Was kann ich tun?!?!??
In den LOG-files steht ne menge, aber ich kann daraus nix sehen was dazu führen könnte!!!!!
Ich weiss is etwas schwierig,aber vieleicht könnt ihr mir ja weiter helfen.

Am besten mal das "XFree86.1.log"-File.
Wenn Dir das nächstes mal passiert, versuch's mal mit CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE, damit kannst Du den X-Server abschießen.

Füg mal das, was fettgedruckt ist in Deine XF86Config ein. Das deaktiviert den AGP-Support. Das ist eine Möglichkeit.
Die andere wäre, im BIOS an den AGP-Einstellungen ein wenig zu probieren. Ersteres ist aber eher zu empfehlen.
Starte danach Deinen X-Server neu. Sehr gute Infos zu Grafikkarten (und Spielen) unter Linux findest Du unter http://www.holarse.net

Schön, es freut mich, dass es jetzt keine Freezes mehr gibt.
Das Problem ist bekannt und wird hier öfter mal diskutiert. Ich glaube, es gibt schon mindestens 10 Threads dazu; d.h. ich hatte das auch schon, und scheint wohl an den nvidia-Treibern, dem Grafikkartenmodell oder vielleicht auch am Mainboard zu liegen ;) Zumindest soll es Leute geben, bei denen obige Option nicht notwendig ist, und trotzdem läuft bei ihnen alles ...
