Firewire will nicht

Hallo,

ich habe mir einen externen brenner, mit Firewire an meinen Laptop (Dell Inspirion 8200) angeschlossen.
Das Problem ist nur das es von SuSE 8.0 nicht erkannt wird. Meiner Meinung nach wird der FW schnittstelle zwar mittels hwscan gefunden aber nicht erkannt.
