Hallo, wenn ich smbpasswd ausführe, bekomme ich folgenden Fehler:

pdc:/usr/local/samba/bin # ./smbpasswd

failed to bind to server with dn= cn=root,dc=xxx,dc=de Error: Can't contact LDAP server
(null)
Connection to LDAP Server failed for the 1 try!
failed to bind to server with dn= cn=root,dc=xxx,dc=de Error: Can't contact LDAP server
(null)
Connection to LDAP Server failed for the 2 try!
failed to bind to server with dn= cn=root,dc=xxx,dc=de Error: Can't contact LDAP server . . . . . . .

Warum will der Samba mit der dn= cn=root connecten obwohl ich in der smb.conf angegeben habe, das es dn= cn=cyrus sein muss?

wenn du smbpasswd unter root ausführhst so will samba das smbpasswort von root ändern..

drum sucht er im ldap directory nach einem eintrag für root
