KOffice Libraries
New command line option: --print. Prints the document(s) passed on the command line, without showing a window. Useful for scripts and servicemenus.
KoText library features (shared between KWord and KPresenter):
Formatting:
text formats now include language information (new)
new line spacing types: at least / exactly / multiple of (new)
new font attributes: small caps, uppercase, lowercase (new)
new underline and strikethru type: word by word

Kexi wird ein weiterer großer Schritt auf dem Weg zur Desktop Domination von Linux sein. Die Screenshots der Pre-Version die in dieser Beta enthalten ist, lassen bereits sehr viel hoffen.
Ein Programm von der Benutzerfreundlichkeit eines MS Access (ohne die sinnlosen Features und Bugs) gepaart mit MySQL. Da heisst es am Ball bleiben.
gibt es überhaupt grobe unterschiede zwischen kword und dem openo. textverarbeutungsprogramm??

wenn es das für doofe Debianer gäbe, würde ich KOffice benutzen. So benutze ich Kuli.
Da das tatsächlich funzen muss, bin ich mittlerweile auch Debianer.
Pakete der neuen Koffice Version finde ich aber auch nur fr SuSE, bzw. Source Dateien.
Ich habe aber keine Lust, die Sachen erst zu kompilieren; im Netz habe ich auch nirgends Debian Pakete gefunden.
Hat einer schon Pakete gefunden oder gar selbst gemacht?
Ich wäre doch sehr dankbar.

ach komm, kompilieren dauert nur ca 4-10h (je nach rechner)... is ja ned die welt..
Sicherlich, aber ich sitze hier an einem P2 200 MhZ, da ist KDE selbst schon langsam, wenn ich jetzt die Sache auch noch kompiier, das dauert bestimmt etwa 6 Stunden, oder?
Außerdem müsste ich da bestimmt jede Menge Libraries und sowas installieren, oder?
Außerdem, möchte ich nichts einfach so per make install installieren, da mach ich mir ja das ganze System kaputt, d.h. ich müsste irgendwie Debian Pakete draus machen und wie das vernünftig geht weiss ich auch nicht...
Da wart ich lieber, bis es in SID ist.

KDE muss ich nehmen, weil meine Computertechnisch eher "unkomplizierte" Familie daran arbeitet.
Fluxbox kommt bei denen nicht wirlich gut an...
nein, war gar nix ironisch.. nur bei nem 200MHz dauerts ewig zum kompilieren, durm würde ich auch die deb-Packete nehmen, die sind ja Binary.. :)
Siehst du, und deshlab suche ich jemanden, der diese Pakete entweder hat, oder weiß, wo ich sie bekommen kann.
Könnt mir vorstellen, das irgendein debianer Pakete für SID erstellt hat...
