Hylafax und WHFC

Hallo Leute,

Ich habe meine Fritzkarte mit Hylafax zum Laufen gebracht. Kann faxe schicken u.s.w. Wenn ich den Faxserver unter Windows nutzen möchte, brauche ich ja dieses WHFC-Programm. Das läuft auch und ich kann mich mit dem Faxserver verbinden.
Mein Problem ist jetzt, daß ich mich einloggen muß. FAQ sagen ich soll die hosts Datei dazu editieren. Welche Syntax muss diese Datei haben? Müssen die User auch Linux Systemuser sein, oder kann ich auch ohne Anmeldung am Linuxrechner das Programm nutzen.

also zuerst hat die /etc/hosts nicht mit Userauthentifizierung zu tun. Mit der hosts "bindest" Du Namen an IP-Adressen.

Ich denke eher mal das die User, welche sich vom Win~1 Rechner auf den Fax-Server verbinden wollen, auch auf dem Fax-Server vorhanden sein sollten.
Ergo musst Du die User von der Win~ Seite auf dem FAX-Server mit geichem Namen und Passwort anlegen.

es geht nicht um die /etc/hosts, sondern um die etc/hosts.hfaxd im Hylafax-Spool-Directory, bei SuSe z.B. /var/spool/fax/etc/hosts.hfaxd.

Man kann darin sowohl die Client-Rechner als auch die Benutzer, die sich von diesen Rechnern aus anmelden können, festlegen.

Beispiele müßten sich in der manpage zu hosts.hfaxd finden lassen.
