hier is ma meine config!
ich hab leider kein plan was ich einstellen muss!ich möchte mit win maschinen auf meine kiste zugreifen is wichtig weil am we lan is und ich mich zum gespött aller mache wenn ich nix sharen kann und so immer von linux predige!bitte helft mir!
ich hab auch null peil wie ich dann user für die win98 clients machen solllmda kommt ja beim netzwerk kein fenster wo man das eintragen kann!
der win98 rechner hier kann nix zugreifen!

ach ja mit LinNeighborhood kann ich die shares sehen aber auchnet drauf zugreifen wegen dem user und pw!weil ich ja net weiß wie ich das zu machen hab!
vielleicht hat wer ne samba config die er mir schicken kann oder so!

Hi,

mal davon abgesehen dass du nur sehr ungenau beschrieben hast was nicht geht bzw. welche Fehlermeldungen kommen würde ich dir mal einen Blick in die FAQs hier zu werfen. Wenn dann der grundsätzliche Aufbau klar ist lassen sich die feinheiten hier leichter erledigen.

Wenns nur darum geht, schnell was zu sharen, kannst du security ja auf SHARE statt auf USER setzen, aber mach mal das mit den Tuts .....

nur is das prob das der dämliche win98 client net rein kann ins verzeichnis sehen kann ers auf dei art!
was muss ich da noch machen das ers auch öffnen kann?

Erst mal solltest du dir im klaren sein welche Sicherheitseinstellung du willst.
Sollen einfach alle darauf zugreifen können oder nur bestimmte und auch berechtigte User.
Wenn du einen PDC verwenden willst müssen die jeweiligen Rechner noch der Domäne hinzugefügt werden. usw usw

Um von vornherein Unklarheiten zu vermeiden bitte schon so gut als möglich informieren.

Hi,

ich bin mir über den Fehler immer noch nicht ganz klar: kommt ne Abfrage nach Login und Passwort?

Wahrscheinlich wird es helfen für das Share "guest ok = yes" zu setzen. Ggf. sind auch noch die Linux-Dateirechte anzupassen.
