hab UT2K3 auf Gentoo mal ausprobiert (xfree 4.2.1, ati treiber mit dri, 5000fps beim glxgears (also 3d funzt))

komischerweise sieht mein UT2K3 teilweise sehr komisch aus (als wie wenns ned mal gfiltert wird)

desweiteren isses EXTREM langsam (ausser wenn man z.b. gegn den boden schaut, dann hast 160fps oder so

Schau mal in Deine /etc/X11/X86Config (oder so) was unter "Section Screen/DefaultDepth und Depth" steht. Aendere den Wert in 24 oder 32 (je nach Graka) um.

warum sollte es einen Performance-Anstieg geben, wenn man die Farbtiefe erhöht?

Btw: kann man eigentlich die Farbtiefe zur Laufzeit des X-Server wechseln?

komischerweise sieht mein UT2K3 teilweise sehr komisch aus (als wie wenns ned mal gfiltert wird)

Schau mal in Deine /etc/X11/X86Config (oder so) was unter "Section Screen/DefaultDepth und Depth" steht. Aendere den Wert in 24 oder 32 (je nach Graka) um.

die is auf 24bit (was anderes lässt der ati treiber sowieso ned zu ... )

und die Grafik um die ASDM Combo is normal so grausig oder? (unter WIndoof siehts nämlich schön aus)
