This is a bugfix release with lot of work done on the developer side (cleanups, ISO C89 conformance...). No new features for users.
Changes from 0.9.0:
* New Variable Length Coding code that saves ~9MB of RAM.
* Various small bugfixes.
* Source code is now ANSI C and compiles/work on lot more platforms
* Plain C for sparc32/64, alpha, strong arm, mips, ppc.
* Optimized Assembly for ia32, ia64.
* New build system for Unix platforms.
* DivX4 compatibility can be turned off. This should make happy mplayer's developers that were asking for that for so long
* the Makefile is compatible with both pmake and gmake
For a complete ChangeLog, please refer to the changelog.txt file included in the tarball.
All developers are now focusing their efforts on the dev-api-3 CVS.
d.h. wer keinen Ärger mit seiner jetzigen Version hat braucht das nicht unbedingt.
