Hallo Leute,
ich moechte mich ein wenig mit iptables vergnuegen, stosse aber schon beim ersten command auf probleme :(.
ich sag mal dazu das ich es ueber chroot mache auf knoppix , da ich in mdk kein iptables hab und keinen kernel kompilieren kann weil gcc ATM kaputt ist.
also mal der command mit output:
root@linux:/# iptables -A INPUT -s 127.0.0.1 -p icmp -j DROP
iptables v1.2.7a: can't initialize iptables table `filter': iptables who? (do you need to insmod?)
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.
root@linux:/#
ich habe aber iptables einkompiliert und es ist der vanilla 2.4.20 kernel. also wo liegt mein fehler?

Probier mal vorher
modprobe ip_tables
und falls es nicht geht bitte die Ausgabe von "lsmod" hier posten.

das gibt ja leider a bissel probs.
erstmal modprobe:

weiss auch net warum, bin ja mit chroot in knoppix, muesste doch eigentlich nicht auf mdk sources zugreifen?

Könnte mir vorstellen dass das ein Knoppix Problem ist...
Hat es schonmal geklappt oder versuchst Du´s zum ersten Mal?

ich habe nun mal in knoppix gebootet anstatt chroot und da laeufts :).
wenn ich das auch in mdk schaffen wuerd :(

Wie willst du in einer chroot umgebung ein Modul laden, dass dort nicht zu finden ist? und vor allem, warum willst du soetwas schräges überhaupt tun? Lade das Modul _bevor_ du chroot verwendest.
