xawtv + deinterlace + nxtvepg

tja, was soll ich sagen meine TV-Karte läuft 1A unter Linux nur bin ich leider unter windows ein besseres Fernseh Bild gewöhnt (durch Dscaler 4.01).
nun gibt es ja auch nen deinterlace plugin für motv / xawtv, das habe ich auch installiert. Damit ich das Plugin überhaupt auswählen kann muss ich "motv" mit dem parameter "-xv" starten, dann wähle ich im "Filter" Menü den Eintrag "linear blend" aus und bekomme nur noch ein gestörtes bild.
So, unter linux will ich überhaupt TV gucken, weil hier "xawtv" mit "nxtvepg" zusammenarbeitet und mir so das aktuelle Programm zum ausgewähltem Kanal anzeigt.
Nur funktioniert die Einblendung des TV Programms nicht in "xawtv" selber, sondern nur in einem seperatem Popup :(
Wenn ich in "nxtvepg" "video overlay" (das Programm wid über das Fernseh Bild geblendet) kommt nur die Fehlermeldung "no handler for vtx" was soll mir diese Fehlermeldung sagen?

"Thanks for pointing this out. I looked at the xawtv source code and it appears that the "vtx" remote command was removed from xawtv somewhere between versions 3.41 and 3.64. More precisely, a compiler switch "TT" was introduced which supresses the code which implements the "vtx" command and popup window (however enabling this compiler switch is not enough, the code doesn't compile anymore)

We'll have to ask Gerd Knorr (xawtv author) what's his big plan behind this change.

BTW if you don't have XFree86 version 4 with the XVideo extension enabled (and working) you won't be very happy with overlays anyway.
