Welches Mainboard habe ich?

Hallo zusammen

Kann ich irgendwie feststellen, welches Mainboard in meinem Laptop ist? Auf der Hersteller-Seite finde ich keine Angaben zum Mainboard.
Ist es möglich, dies mittel /proc herauszufinden?

Hi,

nachdem die Notebook Hersteller ihre eigenen Boards basteln wird das nicht so einfach sein. Wozu brauchst du das? mit "cat /proc/pci" oder "lspci" findest du heraus was du für Geräte am PCI Bus hast (IDE-Controller, Soundkarte, usw) das reicht im Normalfall.

Ich wollte etwas Musik auf mein Linux bringen. Doch muss ich zuerst den Sound konfigurieren, welcher onBoard ist. Mit lspci wird nichts von Sound/Audio erwähnt. Darum dachte ich mir dass ich über das Mainboard nach dem Sound-Device suche.

die/der Soundkarte/-Chip ist offensichlich kein PCI-Device.

Aus jeden Fall handelt es sich um einen SIS-Chipsatz.

Probiers mal mit dmidecode, bekommt 'ne ganze Menge an infos aus dem DMI. Damit konnte ich mein Mainboard schon identifizieren.

Nach dem download einfach mit "gcc -o dmidecode dmidecode.c" übersetzen.
