Problem mit zinf

Hallo Leute, das xmms bei mir ständig Probleme bereitet (spielt Lieder mal ab, mal nicht) habe ich mir mal zinf 2.2.0 aus dem Internet besorgt.
Die Datei also schön entpackt und dann ./configure ausgeführt. Leider wurde bei mir folgender Fehler ausgegeben:

Also muss ich mir wohl die FreeAmp library oder so downloaden und installiern. Doch was ist mit diesem GDK-Gedöns dadrüber, das verstehe ich nicht so ganz (bin Anfänger).

Ich habe das FreeAmp nun downgeloadet und danach konnte ich das zinf trotz GDK Problem kompilieren (ich glaube so nenne man das make - Prozedere).
Danach konnte ich sogar zinf von der Konsole (als root) ausführen. Nach dem Neustart jedoch funktioniert zinf nicht. Wenn ich als User zinf in der Konsole eingeben kommt folgende Fehlermeldung:

Da ich leider (noch) zu wenig von Linux verstehe blicke ich nicht durch was zinf von mir will... :(

Also folgendes: Ich kann zinf starten, aber ausschließlich aus dem entpackten Verzeichnis vom downloadfile, und auch nur aus der Konsole. Seltsam, mich regt dieser Zustand auf.
