Hallo!

Wodran liegt das? Die PCs sind über ein 10mbit Netzwerk verbunden und es müßten normalerweise Übertragungsraten von ca. 800kb möglich sein. Auf dem Linux PC läuft ein FTP-Server und unter Windows greife ich mit proFTP darauf zu.

Kann mir jemand helfen? Wäre echt nett.

Lustig.

Gibt es merkwürdig viele Kollisionen laut ifconfig -a? Routing okay? netstat -an? Was für eine Netzwerkkarte? Wie meldet sich der Treiber in /var/log/messages? Schonmal Treiberoption "debug" probiert? Schonmal andere Transferprotokolle als FTP probiert? Welcher FTP Server? wu-ftpd oder vsftpd?

Ich habe nicht soviel Ahnung voon Linux, werde jetzt aber erstmal die von dir genannten Sachen checken.

Das Problem besteht erst seit dem ich eine neue Netzwerkkarte eingebaut habe(wegen Ümrüstung auf 100mbit) vorher war eine 3Com ISA Karte drin, mit der es einwandfrei funktionierte. Die neue Karte wurde auch eigentlich korrekt erkannt.

netzwerkkarten/marke/treiber sind immer eine sache für sich
wenn dir karte erkannt wird heisst das nicht das sie auch vernünftig funktioniert...dlink hat sich das zb mit der neusten FDE 530tx geleistet
welche netzwerkkarte verwendest du ?

Huch? Aber natürlich kann root die Log Dateien lesen.

Hmm, zu allererst solltest Du bei Problemen die Updates von Red Hat mitmachen, um mögliche Fehlerquellen zu beseitigen. Du fährst z.B. noch den alten Kernel.

Mit dem Treiber und PCnet/PCI II 79C970A Chipset kenn ich mich nicht aus. Stimmt die Information mit der Ausgabe von lspci -v (dort den Teil zur Netzwerkkarte suchen) überein?

Des weiteren fällt noch auf, daß USB und Netzwerkkarte den Interrupt Channel 10 teilen. Muß nicht, kann aber zu Problemen führen. Ggf. mal USB im BIOS ausschalten oder mit Kernel Parameter "nousb" booten.

Im Bios kann man die USB Funktion leider nicht deaktivieren, nur Keyboard Support.
Kannst du mir erklären wie ich den Kernel Parameter auf "nousb" stelle? Ich habe es bereits mit dem KDE Kontrollzentrum versucht, das hat aber irgendwie nicht so ganz geklappt.

Per Bootloader. Entweder, in dem Du "nousb" von Hand anfügst oder in die Kernel Zeile einträgst.

Verwendest Du LILO, gibst Du z.B. beim Booten linux nousb von Hand ein.

Verwendest Du GRUB, drückst Du die 'E'-Taste und hängst "nousb" (ohne Anführungszeichen!) an die "kernel ..." Zeile heran und bootest dann. Oder Du editierst bei laufendem System als root /boot/grub/grub.conf und rufst danach "reboot" auf.

also ich habe jetzt usb ausgeschaltet, so wie du es gesagt hast. Leider klappt es mit der Geschwindigkeit immer noch nicht.

Ich stecke jetzt mal die Karte in einen anderen Slot. :rolleyes:

Moin!

Ich habe jetzt die NIC in meinen anderen PC gesteckt, da läuft sie wunderbar, und in dem Linux PC ist jetzt ne Realtek und siehe da, es funktioniert.

Keine Ahnung wodran das jetzt gelegen hat, aber hauptsache es klappt alles! :D
