mails mit php senden

hab vor einigen wochen einen linux 7.3 rechner eingerichtet der permanent im inet und derzeit nur über eine fixe ip erreichbar ist...jetzt wollt ich via php ein mail verschicken, aber die mail kam nicht an. was muss ich am server (sendmail) konfigurieren, damit der versand klappt?

Hallo,

der Mailversand sollte eigentlich funktionieren, wenn Dein Resolver vernünftig konfiguriert ist und Dein Hostname auch für fremde Rechner per DNS aufgelöst werden kann.
Alternativ kannst Du einen Relayhost definieren, also sowas wie ein Default-Gateway für SMTP. Über den kann Dein sendmail dann jede Mail ausliefern, solange die Mails nicht lokal zuzustellen sind.

Für eine genauere Analyse sollte die /var/log/mail sorgen.

hab 7.3 aufm server laufen...
in der queue sind schon eine menge mails drinnen, die aber nicht versendet werden. hab momentan nur ne ip 193.170.211.240, sollte aber so doch auch laufen? eigentlich will ich ja nur das eh shcon lauffähige php-formular an ne vordeffinierte email schicken, geht aber nichts:(((
