hi
ergänzend:
wenn ich am client ein /etc/init.d/ ./nis restart mache folgender effekt:

start-stop-daemon: warning: failed to kill 219: No such process
Starting NIS services: ypbind [binding to YP server .......... backgrounded]

ein ps -A zeigt mir:

217 ? 00:00:00 ypbind
218 ? 00:00:00 ypbind <defunct>
220 ? 00:00:00 ypbind

kein 219...???
achja, es ist ein debian-woody-system

danke thomas
