also ich besitze suse linux 7.1 mit den neusten nvidia treibern und xfree86 4.2. die installation hat geklappt, die verlinkung mit den binaries ebenfalls. leider lässt sich das spiel nur im softwaremodus starten, nämlich mit dem parameter "+set r_allowSoftwareGL 1": hier die fehlermeldung, wenn ich den parameter weglasse:

also ich besitze eine geforce2 ti, folgendes habe ich aus der fehlermeldung interpretiert:

-wolfenstein kann opengl32 nicht laden. wie heißt der entprechende treiber unter linux? (damit ich seta gldriver probieren kann)
-wolfenstein will deshalb immer mit mesa starten. kann mesa auch hardware beschleunigung?
-irgendwie scheint er opengl dann doch zu laden (loading libGL.so: Initializing OpenGL display) aber wohl nicht so ganz. ist opengl vielleicht garnicht aktiviert? wo kann ich das einsehen? in sax2 habe ich bei 3dmodes bisher nur ein häckchen (gli oder sowas).

ich habe schon verschiedene parameter getestet, nichts hat geholfen... muss ich eventuell dri aktivieren ?

was kann ich noch tun?

das mit dem verlinken hab ich schon gemacht, er lädt ja auch die libGL.so. was soll ich mit "gears" machen? irgendwie will er diese ja nicht laden. ein weiteres prob ist, dass er als renderer immer mesa nehmen will...

ls -l usr/lib/libGl.so findet den link auf ->libGL.so.1
ls -l usr/X11[R6]/lib/libGL.so sagt: datei datei oder verzeichnis nicht gefunden (wieso muss da [R6] rein?), verweist aber trotzdem auf ->X11R6

"glxgears" heisst es. Hast du mal die Nvidia README gelesen? Lädst du das "glx" Modul? Und benutzt du als Treiber "nvidia" statt "nv"?

glx ist das einzigaktivierte 3dmodul unter sax2. "nvidia" stand bei mir schon (musste es nicht ändern)...

wolf.x86 +set r_glDriver "glxgears" bringt auch nix... in obiger fehlermeldung wird dann einfach opengl32 durch glxgears ersetzt...

"gears ist ein benchmark, kein Treiber. Du solltest gears mal in der Konsole starten, um zu sehen ob es nur am Spiel liegt, oder Du ein Problem mit Deinen Treibern hast.

also "gears" ergibt ein kleines fenster mit 3 lustigen zahnrädern, die sich ziemlich schnell drehen... 570frames in 5sekunden = 113,886 fps

die gesuchten werte folgen gleich... (wieso kann ich bei netscape kein einfügen machen???? will doch nich alle werte abschreiben)

also deine gears-werte sind schrott. die besagen das du wirklich Mesa-Software-Redering benutzt. ich habe so ca 1700fps, deine nvidia sollte > 2000 schaffen.

ich bin kein nvidia experte, aber ich glaube du hast deine treiber net richtig installiert.

ließ dir das mal durch: tutorial (http://www.linuxforen.de/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18698)

da wirds beschrieben wie du das machen musst.

ok also ich wollte die treiber jetzt neu installen....

habe erstmal treiber und kernel gelöscht mit:
rpm -e NVIDIA_GLX
rpm -e NVIDIA_kernel

so nun wollte ich neu installen mit:
rpm -ihv NVIDIA*.rpm

und was sehen meine augen da?

"NVIDIA_GLX conflicts with mesasoft-3.4-7"

was nun? jetztkann ich nichmal mehr die GLX treiber installen (kernel ist installiert)

hab die befehle aus der faq genommen... achja nach einem reboot komme ich jetzt garnicht mehr in X rein (die oberfläche wo ich login mache).... ich install jetzt mal vom textbasierten modus aus, mal gucken ob dann X wiederkommt....

und diesmal nehm ich die richtigen befehle...

so, habs installt und komme auch wieder in X !!!
und was noch viel besser ist:

wenn net hilft


dann halt noch mal den NVIDIA TRIEBER mit
rpm -i NV* --nodeps --force

reinstallieren.

strange: beide befehle hab ich net ausser switch2nvidia_glx und dass habe ich schon ohne erfolg ausprobiert. der eintrag in der XFconfig brachte leider auch nix. vielleicht ist es ja auch die art und weise, wie ich wine starte -> wine WolfMP.exe

also ich habe einfach die nvidiatreiber reinstalled, dann gings plötzlich...

aber warum benutzt du wine zum zocken? wine brauchst du nur zum installen...
