nvidia + suse 7.2 +nix geht mehr

ich hab mir die suse 7.2 rpms runtergeladen. installed. sax 2 mit 3d unterstüzung gestartet. bei graphikkarte alle module markiert und geladen. computer neustart. kdm lädt ganz normal hoch, xterm redet auch was wie nvidia kernel geldaden. aber maus und tastatr machen keinen mux mehr =(( unter win 2k gehn sie. was soll cih nun machen, ich habae viel arbeit hierein gesteckt, nicht neuinstalle!!=(
ps: weis jemand ob suse mesa rpms anbietet?

die kombination
mesa und nvidia treiber solltest du vergessen
ich würde alles was in entferntesten mit mesa zu tun hast deinstallieren.

welche treiber hast du herunter geladen ?

NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-1541.suse72.i386.rpm

NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-1541.suse72.i386.rpm

diese hast du nach der pdf readme von nvidia installiert.

auf fast allen rechnern ( ausser meinem ) sollte das so funktionieren.

die forensuche sollte dir weitere benötigte hinweise geben

hmm, ja aber ich muss zuerst mal wieder ins linux reinkommen, bei mir startet kdm am anfang, aber der hängt ja, also wie komm ich zumindest in die konsole?

stimmt nicht ganz, eben rpms installed, und dann in sax2 rein, dort 3d module gelade. so wars, aber nach neustart eben maus und tastatur nix mehr

Hi

beim start von linux kann der runlevel angeben werden

mit lilo

linux 3 (gesetzt den fall "linux" ist name des kernels der gebootet werden soll )

wird nur in den runlevel 3 gebootet

um den treiber ins system einzubinden
reicht eine änderung in der

/etc/X11/XF86Config

versuch mal die zeile Driver "nv"

gegen Driver "nvidia"
auszutauschen

und ein # vor das Load "dri"

siehe auch pdf readme seite 21

teilweis funktionieren die treiber nur wenn
die option NvAGP angeben wird
(seite 28 )

sax2 unter suse 7.2 hat probleme mit der einrichtung der nvidia treiber.
