Ich baue mir hier gerade einen Samba Server auf, welcher auch schon produktiv genutzt wird. Nachdem meine Win2000 Server ausgefallen ist, dachte ich mir: Macht ja nix, ich habe ja meinen Samba Server!!!
Aber das war wohl etwas verfrüht, da ich auf den Samba nicht zugreifen kann, wenn der Win2000 Server aus ist!
Die Fehlermeldung lautet, daß kein Anmeldeserver zur Verfügung steht!

Hier der Auszug aus meiner smb.conf:

Ich benutze hier eine SuSE 7.3 mit dem aktuellen Sambapacket! Am Windows Client (Win2000) arbeite ich in einer Domäne "technik"

Wer weiß hier eine Lösung??!?

Tja, ohne Anmeldeserver ( Domänen-Kontroller ) wird das wohl nix werden.

Nimm doch mal bei Deinem Client die Anmeldung an der Domäne raus und trage Technik" als Workgruop ein und versuche es erneut.

Oder mache aus dem Samba-Server einen zweiten Domänenkontroller.

Wie das geht kann ich Dir allerdings nicht verraten.

wenn der pdc ausfällt: wo soll denn samba die user verifizieren?
also:
- entweder deinen samba-server als pdc einsetzen. oder:
- einen weiteren samba-server als pdc einsetzen.
es darf in einem netz jedoch nur ein pdc sein. logo.
