Hallo,
heute Nacht ist mein USB Stick in einem kleinem Homeserver gestorben. Hatte aber noch ein 10 Tage altes Backup. Mit aller Freude habe ich dieses auf einen anderen Stick gespielt, gestartet hatte der Server dann, aber MySQL lief nicht. Also etwas gegooglet und fsck drüber laufen lassen. Danach wieder versucht. Startet immer noch nicht. In der /var/log/mysql/error.log steht:

Hallo,
ich habe nun wohl die Datenbank exportiert. Muss ich nun mysql mit apt-get entfernen und wieder einspielen, die Datenbank erzeugen und die Sicherung wieder einspielen? Oder wie ist das Vorgehen. Das steht da nämlich auf der MySQL Seite nicht. Das Backup der Datenbank ist zwar auch fehlerhaft, da ich 2 Tabellen überspringen musste, aber ein Versuch ist es ja Wert

du musst eigentlich mysql nicht deinstallieren, nur richtig konfigurieren und die datenbanken am besten per dump einspielen...
es gibt auch verschiedene mysql-check bzw. repair optionen...

Ich hab das richtig verstanden, das Du das Storage einer Datenbank auf einen USB Stick laufen hast, und Du Dich nun wunderst das was kaputt ist?

Wenn ja, wass war den die Intuition ein unsicheres StorageSystem zu verwenden fuer eine Datenbank?
