Wie kann ich den Server wieder stoppen???
Ich habe ihn als standalone laufen, nicht über inetd. Und ich kann ihn mit den commandos:

proftpd stop
./proftpd stop
in.proftpd stop
./in.proftpd stop

nicht stoppen!!!

ftpshut führt nur dazu, dass man nicht mehr connecten kann, aber ich möchte ihn komplett schließen.

Versuchs mal mit "killall proftpd"

Ich nehme an, Du hast `ne SuSE Distri?

"rcproftpd stop" zum stoppen und analog
"rcproftpd start" zum starten

Ja, ich hab ne SuSE Distri, aber mit "rcproftpd stop" ging das nicht.
command not found: rcproftpd

Aber mit "killall proftpd" ging das wunderbar.

Checking syntax of configuration file
- Fatal: unknown configuration directive 'SQLAuthenticate' on line 37 of '/usr/local/etc/proftpd.conf'.

Was soll das bedeuten, das mod_sql ist installiert (hoffe ich doch, ich habe es mitkonfiguriert.
Und SQLAuthenticate steht auf on.

Bitte um Hilfe, wäre echt nett, jetzt bin ich schon soweit, jetzt soll es nicht an der mySQL Sache scheitern.
