Hallo Wissende, :)

ich habe lange bei Google gesucht, aber nicht wirklich eine Antwort gefunden. Bei mir auf dem Laptop laufen als Wirtsystem: Suse 11.1 und als Gast Ubuntu 9.04 . Als VM benutze ich Sun Virtualbox 3.0.10, die auch USB hat.

Nachdem ich meinen USB-Stick angesteckt habe, wird dieser auch ordnungsgemäß von Ubuntu (Gast) angezeigt. Ich kann den Stick auch anklicken und aktiviern und deaktivieren. Jedoch mein Problem ist, weiter passiert nichts. Ubuntu zeigt den Stick nirgends als Symbol an, so dass ich auf den Inhalt zugreifen könnte.
Wenn ich den Stick unter Suse benutze ist das alles kein Problem. Stick wird erkannt und ich kann auch auf den Inhalt zugreifen. Ich würde aber gerne auch in meiner VM Zugriff auf den Stick haben.

Irgendwie scheint da ein Fehler aufgetreten zu sein. Kann es daran liegen, dass Ubuntu den Stick nicht anzeigt, so dass ich dann auch nicht drauf zugreifen kann? Wie lässt sich dieser Fehler beheben?
Würde mich sehr über eine freuen, denn ich weiß nicht mehr weiter.

USB / VirtualBox / Suse 11.1 ist so eine Geschichte.

Entweder ein Update auf Suse 11.2, dann geht es ab dem 12. November.

Oder den Stick am Host als Shared Folder freigeben. Dürfte im Moment die einfachste Variante sein.

vielen Dank für die Antwort. Jetzt weiß ich wenigstens, dass Suse Schuld hat. Ok, dann freu ich mich schon mal auf Suse 11.2, wollte definitiv ein Upgrade machen.
