Hallo zusammen,

ich würde gerne einen Server (Name: travos) als NTP-Server für unser internes Netz konfigurieren.
Also habe ich einfach in der /etc/ntp.conf einen gültigen Server eingetragen und den rcntpd gestartet.

Leider funktioniert das Synchronisieren mit einem anderen Linux-Client (name: mimas) mit diesem Server nicht (auch mit allen anderen nicht)



mimas:/home/ich # sntp -v -P no -r travos
sntp options: a=2 v=1 e=0.100 E=5.000 P=2147483647.000

sntp: incomprehensible NTP packet rejected on socket 0

sntp: incomprehensible NTP packet rejected on socket 0
sntp: incomprehensible NTP packet rejected on socket 0
sntp: too many bad or lost packets


Firewall ist ins lokale Netz deaktiviert. Habt ihr noch ne Idee?

Hallo nochmal zusammen,

ich habe jetzt noch ne ganze Weile herumkonfiguriert, bekoms aber einfach nicht richtig hin - hier jetzt mal meine erweiterte ntp.conf:



server ntp1.ptb.de
server de.pool.ntp.org
server 169.254.100.5
fudge 169.254.100.5 stratum 8

restrict ntp1.ptb.de
restrict de.pool.ntp.org
restrict 169.254.100.5
restrict 127.0.0.1
restrict 169.254.100.0 mask 255.255.255.0 nomodify
restrict default kod notrap nomodify nopeer noquery

disable auth


Die ServerIP ist: 169.254.100.5

Die "Fehlermeldung" ist immer noch die selbe.
Führe ich


sntp -v -P no -r 169.254.100.5

auf dem Servers selbst aus gibt es ein erfolgreiches resultat:


sntp options: a=2 v=1 e=0.100 E=5.000 P=2147483647.000
d=15 c=5 x=0 op=1 l=/etc/sntp.pid f= 169.254.100.5
sntp: correction -0.000 +/- 0.026+0.000 secs - ignored

Funktioniert es evtl. mit


ntpdate travos
ntp 169.254.100.5


BTW:
Der IP-Bereich ist nicht für "normale" Netzwerke gedacht.
Nimm 192.168.[0-254].0/24, 172.[16-31].0.0/16 oder 10.0.0.0/8.
