Hallo,

nach erfolgreicher Installation von Ubuntu Studio 9.04 hatte ich mich über die tollen Programme etwas zu früh gefreut:

Meine ältere JAD 1.0-Installation (basierend auf openSUSE 10.2 mit Real Time Kernel) lässt sich überraschenderweise nicht mehr starten.

Fehlermeldung:
Fatal: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.19-5-rt
/modules: dep: No such file or directory
resume /device /dev/hdb6 not found (ignoring)

Die Meldung musste abgeschrieben werden und kann kleinere Fehler enthalten.

Über meine openSUSE 10.3-Installation kann ich das Home-Verzeichnis von openSUSE 10.2 mounten. Die Daten sind noch alle vorhanden.

Ich kann ich JAD 1.0 wieder zum Laufen bringen?

Wie kann es sein, dass Ubuntu Studio 9.04 JAD 1.0/openSUSE 10.2 beeinflusst, wo die Distributionen sich doch auf verschiedenen Patitionen befinden?

Kann es sein, das sich die beiden RT-Kernel stören?

Das ist deshalb ärgerlich, weil auf JAD 1.0/openSUSE 10.2 alle Musikerprogramme perfekt installiert waren und problemlos liefen.

Ich tippe mal auf veränderte Partition-Nummerierung...

Sieh Dir doch mal die Ausgabe von
fdisk -l aus einem der funktionierenden System an, und gleiche das ganze mit der fstab und der menu.lst des installierten JAD bzw. dem aktuellen Bootloader ab.

Danke für die Antwort, die mir weitergeholfen hat, jedoch auf eine überraschende Weise:

Habe mir die menu.lst von Ubuntu Studio 9.04 angeschaut. Da fand sich eine lange Liste, u.a. gab es sieben(!) Start-Einträge für JAD 1.0.
Von diesen sah ich aber nur zwei im Grub nach Reboot. Grund: Man konnte das Fenster nach unten scrollen.

Und tatsächlich: Der Start von sdb7 aus funktionierte! (als einziger)
