Kein versenden von Mails mehr

Hi,
seit gestern kann ich auf meinem Debian-Sever keine Mails mehr verschicken & empfangen.
Ich habe den Server als auch die Dienste neue gestartet und die Firewall überprüft und auch schon zu testzwecken ausgeschalten. Jedoch kann ich über mein Mail-Programm keine Mails mehr versenden und empfangen.
Über den Confixx-Webmailer meines Systems ist das Versenden jedoch noch möglich. Aber auch beim Empfangen geht hier nichts mehr.

Was kann ich tun?? Ich habe in letzter Zeit auf dem Server auch nichts in den Einstellungen verändert.

Thunderbird meldet bei mir das der Server nicht erreichbar ist oder die Verbindung zurückweist.

In der /var/log/mail.log findet man folgendes:

"no such file or directory" deutet darauf hin, das da was fehlt.

Was genau kann man evtl. sagen, wenn Du die Konfig des Servers postest.

ja kein thema... ich frag mich nur wie was verschiwnden kann ohne das ich irgendwas am server verändert habe aber es gibt ja bekanntlicherweise manchmal solche mysterien.. ;-)

ich hoffe, das dir das hilft und du vllt irgendeinen fehler findest...

Schau dir deinen smtpd_sasl_path nochmal an und bedenke, dass dein smtpd in einer chroot-Umgebung läuft...

Und kannst du mir eventuell auch sagen wie der lauten muss bzw was für auswahlmöglichkeiten ich habe??

Das kommt auf deine Konfiguration von Dovecot bzw. Dovecot SASL an. Ich würde an deiner Stelle das Dovecot Wiki konsultieren...

folgendes musste ich in der dovecot.conf ersetzen:

doch eben schon.. das is ja grad das verwunderliche...
ich bin auch grad noch auf der suche nach dem fehler der das verursacht hat, auch wenn ichs mir nicht erklären kann...

Wenn Du nichts geändert hast würde ich mir das System mal ganz genau ansehen, nicht das es infiziert ist...

ja mach ich natürlich...

das verwunderliche ist nur das das system als root nicht (mehr) läuft, obwohl der root ja alle rechte besitzt. Lässt man postfix jedoch über den user postfix starten, geht es auf einmal obwohl es vorher als root lief.

Wenn Postfix abgesehen von dem Prozess "master" bei dir jemals mit root-Privilegien lief, hast du etwas falsch gemacht. ;)
