Kalenderprogramm für Desktop?

Hallo,

kennt jemand ein einfaches Kalenderprogramm, dass ungefähr so wie Conky am Desktophintergrund angezeigt wird?
Evolution und Sunbird sich ja "richtige" Programme, die ich aber dauernd starten muss. Ich hätte aber gerne immer alle Termine ständig im Blickfeld. Ich bezweifle zwar, dass es so etwas gibt, aber fragen schadet ja nicht.

Ich habe nur mal kurz die Manpage überflogen. Also wenn ich das recht verstehe, dann ist das nur eine Konsolenanwendung. Ich habe zwar folgenden Absatz gefunden:

The .xsession file is used if you have a graphical login manager set up
on your machine, the .xinitrc if you don't. In this example, the first
line outputs your calendar to a file. The complete path to the When
program is given, because your shell's path variable will not yet be
properly initialized when this runs. The second line pops up a GUI
emacs window, which is distinctively colored so that it will catch your
eye. The last line starts your window manager, KDE in this example.
Whatever window manager you use, just make sure to retain the
preexisting line in the file that starts it, and make sure that that
line is the very last one in the file.

Hier wird aber nur ein Emacs-Popup aufgerufen, anstatt, dass das Programm in den Hintergrund eingebettet wird, wie ich es will.

das in den Hintergrund-einbetten sollte aber über conky und Konsorten problemlos sein.

Alternativ einfach eine Konsole ohne Rahmen, Transparent, ... :-)
