Parallele Schnittstelle nicht vorhanden

Hallo,

beim Einrichten meines Druckers bekomme ich die Meldung, das keine Parallele Schnittstelle vorhanden ist.

Im Bios ist die Schnittstelle ordnungsgemäß eingestellt und unter WinXP funktioniert die Schnittstelle ebenfalls einwandfrei.

Was kann ich tun um die Parallele Schnittstelle unter Opensuse 11 ordnungsgemäß zu installieren / konfigurieren und wie kann ich das überprüfen??

Existiert den überhaupt /dev/parport0 ?

Habe in modeprobe.conf.local eingefügt:

options parport_pc io=0x378 irq=7 dma=3

und er lässt sich ansprechen.

dmesg meldet:

parport0: PC-style at 0x378 (0x778), irq 7, dma 3 [PCSPP,TRISTATE,COMPAT,ECP,DMA]
