Bildschirm wird nach starten von X-Server dunkel

Hallo zusammen,
ich habe hier ein kleines Problem:

Wenn ich den X-Server starte ist der Bildschirm auf einmal sehr dunkel. Nach dem Drücken der Taste, mit welcher die Helligkeit eingestellt wird
(FN + Cursor links oder rechts) ist die Helligkeit schlagartig wieder normal. Das selbe Phänomän tritt auf wenn ich X beende, bzw mit STRG-ALT +X auf eine Konsole wechsel.

Meine Distri ist Gentoo.
