Arch64 + COD4 + Wine + chroot = geht nicht...?

Hallo,

ich benutze Arch64 da ich die 4GB Speicher nur so ausnutzen kann, das einzige Problem was ich habe ist, dass ich Wine+COD4 (Call of Duty 4) nicht starten kann.

ich habe diese anleitung gefolgt:

...und hat alles wunderbar geklappt;
-wine 0.9.58 ohne probleme compiliert
-Call of Duty 4 installiert

beim start des Spiel...
(als chroot /opt/arch32)

wine iw3mp.exe
...bekomme ich diese fehler meldung:
"WIN_DISK_FULL_BODY"

muss ich dann unter Arch32 umgebung auch komplete xorg und nvidia treiber installieren? und dann X-64bit beenden, und X-32bit starten...?

kann mir das jemand genau erklären?

mit lib32 läuft bei mir wine nicht richtig.

es sind ca. 90GB auf /home partition frei.
das habe ich auch als erstes gedacht, aber daran liegt es nicht...?

Wenn du eine ATI-Karte mit fglrx hat, musst du die lib32-catalyst-utils statt der lib32-libgl installieren.
Wenn du eine NVIDIA-Karte hast, musst du die lib32-nvidia-utils statt der lib32-libgl installieren.

Sind auch die Rechte des .wine-Ordners richtig? Gehört auch alles deinem Benutzer?

Außerdem brauchst du kein chroot. Bei funktioniert Wine auf 64-Bit auch ohne chroot. Ich habe einfach die entsprechenden Pakete installiert (bin32-wine-suse, lib32-catalyst-utils/lib32-nvidia-utils und die anderen lib32's)

es liegt nicht an wine oder lib32 pakete, wine läuft... ich kann z.b UT2004 oder Firefox32+Flash ohne Probleme starten.

bei mir will einfach COD4 mit Wine nicht funktionieren (getestet mit 0.9.55/56/58) auch 3dmark.diff hat nicht geholfen.... und das witzige daran, es liegt nicht an 64Bit. (habe es auch unter Archlinux 32Bit getestet...)

warum es bei andere geht, kann ich echt nicht verstehen.... :( ich kenne Wine gut auch die Einstellungen/Konfigurationen von Wine sind mir bekannt bzw. *wenn das und dies nicht geht, dann liegt es daran...*

beim Compilieren von wine gabs auch keine errors oder sonst irgend etwas verdächtiges... ist aber auch egal, es geht jetzt und zwar ganz einfach:
Vista+SP1 drauf COD4 installiert und siehe da, es läuft alles bestens ;)

Ne, ich habe kein COD4.

Laut der AppDB sollte es aber laufen.


The game works well if you turn off all the high detail settings and effects. It still looks fine and the game is playable. I am almost to the end of the game. Videos and cut scenes work well. I needed to do some tweaking to install and get the game running. 1) download WINE 0.9.54 source code 2) apply the WINE game patch (you can find this online by googling) against the WINE source by executing the command: patch -p1 < the-text-patch-file. Then ./configure, make depend, make, and make install. VOILA! 3) copied over some DX9 DLL's from my Windows partition to ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32. I also read that you can do a Directx9 install, copy some core Windows DLL files, then run the setup again and test with dxdiag. I did not need to do this. 4) Install the game from the DVD 5) find a way to get the game loading without the DVD media - I'll leave this up to you. And that's it! I did try running CoD4 on WINE 0.9.47, but it does not work. I needed to use 0.9.54.
