KDE 4 sehr langsam!

Hallo an euch alle - ich habe SuSE 10.3 und mir (schon vor längerer Zeit) per Smart KDE 4 installiert jedoch ist das System sehr langsam - ich vermute mal das wegen falschen einstellungen in der Xorg.conf kde 4 die 3d beschleunigung nicht nutzen kann nur weiß ich leiede nicht welche Module bzw. einstellungen ich dafür ändern könnte?

Mein 3D System funktioniert eigentlich sehr gut ich nutze es sogar unter wine zum spielen von 3D Spielen (zB Anno 1503)

da kde 4 ja noch nicht so lange auf den markt ist, würde ich einfach wieder das alte kde 3.5 draufmachen. zu den problemen gibt es da auch mehr lösungen.

Hallo, mmmh ich habe kde 3.5.9 eh installiert (bei suse wird kde4 getrennt und unabhängig parallel installiert!)

tjo dan is eh egal, werd ich mich einfach bis zur SuSE 11 gedulden da is dan KDE 4 eh schon mitdabei!

Hi, also erstmal ich bin auch kein Experte, aber ich hab acuh schon öfter mit meiner Ati-Karte zu kämpfen gehabt. Mal ne frage wenn ich mir deine xorg.conf so ansehe dann fallen mir zwei sachen auf:

zu einen wenn du dir Grafikspielerein haben willst also, würfel und sowas dann sollte "composite" enable sein und zum anderen hast du da was von Vesa Treiber stehen. Sollte da nicht was von ati stehen bin da etwas verwirrt da alle einträge ati zeigen. du kannst ja einfach mal im Terminal fglrxinfo eingeben und gucken ob das passt ansonsten kannst du acuh einfach den ati-treiber per one-klick install oder so von der opensuse page nachinstallieren.
