PCMCIA-> USB 2.0 Adapter

Hallo mal wieder,

habe einen eben solchen Adapter von Ultron, irgendwie wird der aber nicht erkannt, bzw. die daran angeschlossenen geräte werden nicht gemountet, bekommen aber strom.

Irgendwo habe ich mal gelesen ich müsste erst die entsprechenden Kernelmodule aktivieren mit modconf oder so, kann mir jemand genauer erklären wie das geht?

Ich verwende ein MItac Notebook und habe Ubuntu 7.10 installiert.

Schau dir doch mal die Kernelmeldungen an, vielleicht geben die Aufschluss über die Ursache: Ohne Adapter booten, dann in einer Konsole folgendes eingeben:


tail -f /var/log/messages.log

Jetzt den Adapter anstecken, dann ein USB-Gerät. Ich habe hier einen Ultron UH-420, da sieht es so aus:

Module, die dabei nachgeladen wurden, sind yenta_socket, ohci_hcd und ehci_hcd. Mit modprobe <modul> kannst du nötigenfalls ein Modul manuell laden, lsmod zeigt die geladenen Module an.
