Hallo!

Mein Asus Notebook friert regelmäßig für einen kurzen Zeitraum (meist so ca. eine Minute) ein! Während dieser Zeit lässt sich die Maus zwar noch bewegen, Eingaben per Keyboard oder eben Maus sind aber nicht möglich.
Nach ca. einer Minute geht dann alles wieder ganz normal weiter, bis zum nächsten Freeze.
Wenn ich bei den Boot Optionen Acpi deaktiviere und dann ohne acpi boote, läuft alles einwandfrei. Nur kann ich eben alle features die acpi benötigen nicht nutzen. Da ich aber mit meinem Notebook oft auf Akku laufe ist das ziemlich blöd!
Im Moment benutze ich Kubuntu 7.10; ich hab aber auch schon OpenSUSE 10.3 ausprobiert. Auch dort, das selbe Problem!

Ich hoffe irgendjemand kann mir weiterhelfen!

Ich bin selbst ziemlich neu bei Linux, aber ein Freund, der sich relativ gut auskennt hat mir gesagt, ich sollte die Ausgaben von gewissen Dateien mit in den Post schreiben. Keine Ahnung obs euch weiterhilft, aber ich tus einfach mal!

Da könnte man sich auch mal zurückhalten und derartige Zurechtweisung dem ersten überlassen, der wirklich was produktives zum Thema zu sagen hat, oder?

acpi=offversucht.

Ja schön, Stilfragen.
Hätte vielleicht weniger Platz gebraucht, wäre vielleicht farblich hinterlegt gewesen - klar. Aber ist nicht Hauptsache, daß er sich von Anfang an bemühte die relevanten Informationen bereitzustellen?
Hätte er es nicht gemacht wären einige Posts vergangen, um diese Informationen anzufordern, bereit zu stellen und darauf zu reagieren.

Manche plenken auch und kümmern sich sonst einen Dreck um die Leserlichkeit - Ich finde das hier sehr viel weniger schlimm.

Da es ein Problem mit ACPI ist, hilft vielleicht ein BIOS Update.

Hab auf http://acpi.sourceforge.net/dsdt/view.php leider nix für mein Notebook Modell gefunden.

Boot Optionen hab ich jetzt schon die Probiert:

+ notsc
+ pci=noacpi
+ noapic
+ nolapic


Ich bin eigentlich wirklich kein Nichtswisser in Sachen Computer, aber ein BIOS Update hab ich schlicht und einfach noch nie gemacht und weiß deshalb auch nicht wie das funktioniert :S

also falls das irgendwie nicht klar gewesen ist: ich habe mit der option acpi=off gebootet und dann hat alles funktioniert ohne freezes, aber halt auch ohne acpi^^

Probier mal "pci=routeirq" aus.

edit: was auch nen Versuch Wert sein könnte: apic=off (ja, apic statt acpi, das ist kein Vertipper)

Auf der Seite von Asus kannst du unter "Download" nach einem BIOS für dein Notebook suchen.
Schau, welche BIOS Version auf deinen Notebook drauf ist und ob es eine neuere Version gibt.

Also die Vorschläge von ThorstenHirsch haben auch nix gebracht leider. Das mit Bios Update werd ich wahrscheinlich probieren müssen, aber gibts nicht noch eine andere Idee/Möglichkeit das zu lösen?

Noch irgendwer Ideen?


EDIT: Hab bei der Asus-Seite geschaut, aber mein Notebooktyp is da gar nicht dabei. Und einen andern nehmen macht sicher was kaputt^^ und das kann ich gar nicht brauchen, da ich den Laptop auch zum Arbeiten brauche ;)

Es ist doch dabei. Wähl als Serie "6000" aus, dann kannst du unter Modell "A6Jm" auswählen.
