Hallo,

ich bins wieder, mit meinem Samba 2.2.1 auf einem Suse 7.2 System.

Nach dem Ärger mit meinem System gestern, lief der Server heute morgen und Vormittag einwandfrei. D.h. ich ab den smbd und nmbd gestern gestartet und bis zum Mittag liefen beide Dienste einwandfrei durch. Nach der Mittagspause als ich wieder am PC war waren beide Dienste gestoppt. Im Haus war keiner. Wo kann ich suchen???????

Hab in einfach per SWAT gestartet. Wenn morgen der Samba wieder ausfällt werde ich ihn per Putty starten.

Hallo,

war mal schnell weg. Ich lese Deine Posts, nur ich war zu schnell mit der Eingabe. Hatte den Befehl schon gesendet, da hab ich erst gesehen das Du ein Reset wolltest.

Kann ich daraus entnehmen das der Samba jetzt richtig läuft, oder heisst es jetzt wieder abwarten ob er wieder ausfällt.

Nachdem auf dem Sambaserver meine Outlookdaten liegen merke ich immer erst wenn Outlook ausfällt das der Samba weg ist.

Ich warts einfach mal ab.

Also von alleine verschwinden keine Verzeichnisse, außer z.B. bei einem Platten- oder Dateisystemsdefekt.

Laut Yast ist es noch installiert.
Ich habe am SambaServer noch nicht verändert, weder heute noch gestern.

Kann ich die Bootplatte kopieren, ich habe 2 Platten im System, eine kleine mit 16 GB von der hab ich noch eine und eine mit 160GB mit meinen Daten.

Mit welchem Programm kann ich die kleine Spiegeln?

YaST spiegelt nur den Inhalt der RPM DB wieder, nicht des Dateisystems. Daher ist das YaST ziemlich egal ob das Verzeichnis da ist oder nicht.

Check mal die Platte oder das Dateisystem. Hat auf das System noch jemand Zugriff? Per SSH o.ä.?

Auf das System hat niemend Zugriff, nur ich greife auf den Rechner zu, entweder per Putty oder VNC.

Wenn da wie beschrieben auf der Kiste nen Suse 7.2 läuft, dann vermute ich mal das der Server schon einige Jahre im Betrieb ist.
Und unter Umständen wurde auch viele Monate das Dateisystem nicht überprüft und das solltest Du dringent nachholen.
man fsck

Und vorher das umounten nicht vergessen!

Wenn das RPM neu installiert wird, dann wird das Verzeichnis wieder da sein, aber alle Einstellungen werden default sein.
