Ersteinmal Guten Tag und vielen Dank für die Bereitstellung dieses Forums:

Zu meinem Problem:

Ich habe mir das Software-Paket OpenSuse 10.3 von Novell gekauft um dieses auf meinen Laptop zu benutzen. Nach erfolgreicher Installation, stellte ich unter Yast meine Netzwerkverbndung gemäß meinen Routereinstellungen ein:

Als ESSID: NETGEAR

außerdem benutze ich das Verschlüsselungsystem WPA-PSK sowie den entsprechenden Verschlüsselungskey

aber nichts tat sich..nun bin ich mit meinem, sicherlich auf diesem Gebiet begrenzten, Latein am Ende.

Beim Durchlesen dieser Website...kam ich dann noch auf die Idee die Befehle iwconfig sowie ifconfig einzugeben:

Firmware installiert?

(Sollte die Antwort "Nicht daß ich wüsste" oder ähnlich lauten, dann => bcm43xx-firmware-3.130.20.0-rm.0.noarch.rpm (http://www.pc-forum24.de/downloads.php?do=file&id=446))

BTW:

YaST hat Dich 100%ig darauf hingewiesen, daß man für diese Karte eine Firmware braucht.

Für WPA benötigt man ausserdem das Paket "wpa_supplicant" (ggf. nachinstallieren).

beide Programme sind schon bei der Standardinstallation von Suse 10.3 von Novell dabei, hab gerade noch mal im Package Selector nachgeschaut...vielleicht eine andere IDee? Trotzdem Danke

Dieses Paket hier:

ist garantiert _NICHT_ mal auf dem Installationsmedium drauf.

Woher ich das weiß?

Weil ich das Paket selbst gebaut habe und es an oben verlinkter Adresse hoste.

Tut mir wirklich leid, habe es im package manager falsch abgelesen...sorry

Nachdem ich es denn, dann nun wirklich:), installierte, leuchte sogar meine Wireless Led am Notebook, aber solbald ich versuchte dann mit dem Routerin Kontakt zu treten, ging sie wieder aus.

was mir noch aufgefallen ist: die LAN-karte bekommt bei jedem start nen neuen Namen/nummer (eth24 z.ZT. *g*) zugewiesen, woran könnte das liegen?

hi, ich bin ua mit Hilfe der Forensuche auf dieses alte Thema gestoßen. Es beschreibt mein Problem recht gut bietet aber leider keine Lösung. ich bin jetzt soweit, dass ich über "dmesg" die Meldung

erhalte. Ich nutze openSuse10.3. Könnt ihr mir bitte helfen und einem armen, kleinen Mädchen vllt auch noch erklären was IRQ bedeutet?

Wahrscheinlich erledigt sich dann auch das IRQ-Problem.

P.S. Wenn man wissen will, was IRQ bedeutet, dann sagt einem eine große Suchmaschine das mit dem ersten Treffer zu diesem Suchbegriff, welcher zu einer ebenfalls großen Online-Enzyklopädie weiterleitet.

.. weil der neuere Kernel mehr WLAN HW unterstützt lohnt es sich wirklich bei WLAN Problemen den neuesten zu nehmen...
