Moin Forum,
ich habe eine Problem mit meiner TV-Karte.
Heute morgen ging noch alles, eben fahre ich den Rechner aus dem Ruhezustand wieder hoch, und digitales TV wird mir unter Kaffeine nicht mehr angeboten.
Also sehe ich mir unter Yast/Hardware meine TV-Karte an, stelle die richtigen Kernel-Module ein, aber beim Beenden, wenn er versucht zu speichern, bleibt er ständig bei 25% hängen. Ich kann ruhig lange warten oder den PC neu starten - bringt nix :(
Ich verwende eine Hauppauge Nova DVB-T unter OpenSuse 10.3.
Ich hoffe Ihr könnt mir helfen?

Mach in einer Konsole als root
tail -f /var/log/messagesund dann die Prozedur mit Yast. Dann guckst du, was in der Konsole ausgegeben wird, wenn sich Yast wieder aufhängt.

Die Ausgabe hat nichts mit Yast oder TV zu tun.

Was du probieren kannst: /etc/modprobe.d/tv löschen, Rechner neustarten und nochmal die Konfiguration der TV-Karte mit Yast probieren.

Offensichtlich hat das Problem mit dem Ruhezustand zu tun. Es gibt Hardware bzw. Treiber, die mit dieser Funktion nicht optimal kooperieren.

Das mit dem löschen von " /etc/modprobe.d/tv" versuche ich gleich auch mal, vielleicht klappts ja.
Das Ergebnis stelle ich hier gleich ein.
Das Löschen von "/etc/modprobe.d/tv" und "/etc/modprobe.d/tv.YaST2save" hats gebracht... :)

Schön.
Es kommt auf /etc/modprobe.d/tv an. Da stehen Optionen für das Laden der benötigten Module drin. Der Optionen gibt es nämlich viele.
/etc/modprobe.d/tv.YaST2save ist nur eine Sicherheitskopie von Yast und wird vom System nicht berücksichtigt.

da ist das Problem auf einmal schon wieder. Ich kann jetzt auch diese beiden Dateien tv und tv.YaST löschen, wenn ich versuche die TV-Karte mit "YaST/Hardware/TV-Karten" neu zu konfigurieren, bleibt YaST bei 25% hängen...
Suse 10.3 ist wohl genauso verbugt wie alle früheren Versionen mit einer ungraden Nummer hinter dem Punkt. Die Suse bleibt der Tradition treu.

Unter 10.2 hat alles wunderbar funktioniert...
Ich habe auch schon mehrfach daran gedacht die Festplatte zu putzen und 10.2 wieder zu installieren.
Ich habe auch hin und wieder Abstürze, wo man nur mit dem Reset-Knopf wieder rauskommt, in den verschiedensten Situationen...
Ich hatte gehofft, daß die paar "Problemchen", die ich unter 10.2 hatte behoben sein würden.
Echt schade. Wie steht Ihr dazu?

YaST steht bei 25%, vor "Install Firmware" ist ein Haken, das hat wohl geklappt.
Jetzt steht er bei "Write the settings", die Datei /etc/modprobe.d/tv ist grad erzeugt worden.
In der ProzessTable steht ein Eintrag YaST2/modprobe, der Inhalt der Datei "tv" sieht so aus:

So, jetzt habe ich es scheinbar hinbekommen...
Ich habe noch mal die Datei "modprobe.d/tv" gelöscht, dann beim Einrichten der TV-Karte unter "Hardware" die Option "Audioausgabeverbindung mit Soundkarte" auf "nicht verbunden" gesetzt, jetzt gehts wieder wunderbar, sogar mit Sound.
Wenn ich mit aber jetzt die Konfig der TV-Karte ansehe, ist "Audioausgabeverbindung mit Soundkarte" angewählt...

Tach, Servus ich hab auch immer noch probleme mit meiner tv-karte. es hat mir schon jemand die passende firmware als rpm gegeben und die ist installiert, aber in dmesg gibts immernoch eine zeile die besagt : could not read from tuner at addr...
leider hab ich beim googlen nur posts in italienisch oder französisch oder einfach für laien unverständlich gefunden. was bedeutet diese meldung und was tut man dagegen? vielleicht kann mir jemand helfen ich wär sehr dankbar, ich bin echt lernwillig, wenn ihr mir befehle und verzeichnisse usw. vollständig sagt. vielen dank schon mal, hier die dmesg-ausgabe:

Tja, da bin ich mal wieder...
Ich habe das jetzt eine ganz Zeit beobachtet und habe folgendes festgestellt:
Nach dem ersten Einschalten des Rechners funktioniert die Karte NIE. Wenn man den Rechner ein paar mal neu startet, dann funktioniert die TV-Karte irgendwann. Mal nach dem ersten reboot, mal auch erst nach dem zehnten...
Was passiert denn beim reboot? Kann ich das auch von einer Konsole aus erledigen, also irgendwelche für die TV-Karte relevanten Dienste stoppen und wieder neu starten?

Schau mit lsmod nach den tv (dvb)-Modulen. Die kannst Du dann versuchsweise mit "modprobe -r <modulname>" entladen und mit "modprobe <modulname>" neu laden.
Evtl.. sagt Dir auch "ps -aux" etwas über laufende Dienste, die mit der tv-Karte zusammenhängen (Ggf. nach sinnvollen Schlagworten greppen, also bspw. "ps -aux | grep dvb" oder ... | grep cx88 oder dergl.) . Die könntest Du dann testhalber killen und neustarten.
